Who am I and what is this blog?
I am in charge of research and project management at a small product development firm in Palestine, TX. We work with the military, private investors, and fortune 100 consumer/medical/industrial durable goods companies to create new products through creative design, engineering, and prototyping. A big part of the benefit we provide is a great deal of cross discipline knowledge, and we strive to maximize serendipity by knowing about new technological advancements from a very wide range of fields.
This blog is a sampling of the research that I find each week, and ideally showcases some of the most useful technological advancements of the day. The features will range from new parts that could be used as a component in a larger assembly, to scientific discoveries that could change the way products are made, to creative product designs that may spur some innovative thinking and provide a new perspective for redesigning traditional products. In addition, I’ll probably be throwing in some articles with pertinent info on how to be better at developing products.
